Christian Connection is a fantastic starting point for many single people hoping to meet other Christians so we thought it would be good to encourage others to take the opportunity to do the same.
For our ten year anniversary, we met up with some former members to chat about their experience. Here's what they had to say.
Jennifer & NevilleI met a man called Neville on the site. We seemed to have a lot in common and so after about a week of conversations we went on our first date.
After 4 months we got engaged on Valentines day and got married on a lovely summer's day in August.
Whew! It has been a roller-coaster of a year but a very happy one and it's all thanks to your site.
Jennie & DavidI had only just joined Christian Connection when David emailed me in January and we then started to correspond. Having spoken on the telephone we then arranged to meet. We clicked straight away and soon fell in love. We married in the summer, honeymooned in the Smoky Mountains and set up home together.
We praise the Lord for bringing us together through Christian Connection and blessing our marriage.
Ed, Naomi & Baby IsaacFollowing our wonderful wedding in May, Naomi and I had one more burning desire – to become parents.
After 10 months of marriage, the Pastor at our church came over to us during an evening service and asked if he could pray for us. A few days later we found out that Naomi was pregnant! Our little boy Isaac certainly lives up to his name as he is a cheerful little lad.
God has blessed us so richly and continues to do so every day. Thank you to all at Christian Connection also, and long may you continue to unite people.
Being single in Church can be tough. When you think about it, there are very few opportunities to meet single Christians outside of Sunday services. This could be limiting your chance of meeting new faces to just a handful of people. Maybe you have tried online dating before, but have found that most “Christian” sites are not really run by Christians and are full of fake profiles or worse.
Thanks to Christian Connection we have each found our soul mates. We only live 20 miles apart, but if it hadn't been for Christian Connection we would never have known about each other.

Our members are like you and understand where you are coming from. There is an active community on the message boards. We offer offline events such as speed-dating, quiz nights and themed parties. Members can also arrange their own local meetups. Some members stay on the site even once they have met someone because of the supportive and active community. Read more about our events and meetups
You will be asked some questions about your background and interests. You don’t have to answer all the questions straight away – just the ones you feel most comfortable with. Most questions have some pre-defined options you can use for inspiration. You can always come back and answer more later.
As part of this process you will be asked to upload a photo so other members can put a face to a name. You don’t have to upload a photo, but it really helps.
Your answers and your photo will be shown on a "profile page" which other members can see to get an idea about you're personality. But don't worry, we keep the few personal details we ask from you (like your date of birth) private and we make this clear at every step.
The Search & Match feature allows you to browse other members' profiles. You have options to filter on specifics that might be important to you. For example, you can browse members who fall within a certain age range, Church denomination or within a certain location.
We've tried to make it as easy as possible to get talking once you've found someone you like. If you’re a bit nervous at first or if you're just trying to gauge interest, you can send a “wave” which is an informal way of saying “hello”. Once you have a little more confidence you can send an email and start a conversation. Lots of members love using the instant chat. This allows real time communication on the site, a bit like text messages or Facebook chat (if you can't keep up with all these new conversations you'll be having, you can opt out of chat — it's up to you!).
Every week we will send you an email with some recommended profiles that you may not yet have seen. We tailor these suggestions based on your choices and activity on the site. The more you use the site, the more accurate your suggestions will be. Of course if you already have too many emails to read, you can opt out of these too!
