Big Church Day out 1- 3 June ...come together. :-)
I'm going. My kids loved it last year. Would be great to be able to meet up with others whilst there. Makes the event even more enjoyable. LZ7 are on centre stage this year as well
Hi Catherine it's not just for the kids..but the big kids too! I am sure we can arrange something..like meet after a gig or something....or a joint picnic one day. Roll up, roll up there is plenty of space. ;) x
I'm only going for the Sunday but have been before and had a great day. The tent with the missons stuff in was really interesting. and the music was great. Hope you all enjoy it. I will be traveling with a full car, we can't wait.
I've gone each year! It's great!! Hoping to go on the Sunday with our church. (We don't camp as we live locally)...
really looking forward to it... cant wait... wonderful praise, music, worship and people...
Do people go on their own? Or just groups/families? I could possibly stay with my daughter who lives fairly nearby but if I can only do one of the days which is best, particularly for the music?
In answer to your question Sue, You would be absolutely fine on your own. You can go in for the day if you like. The programme is repeated both days, Sat & Sun so you wouldn't miss anything. Lovely tea tent for your cream tea accompanied by Lou Fellingham, a classical orchestra, and such like . Then you have 2 other stages to choose from.
Hi everyone
I have just booked for the Big Church Day Out from Friday 1 June afternoon till Mon 4 June morning at Wiston House in Sussex .. over 2 full days of worship, fun, dancing and singing and just being the Church together in a beautiful location. This is a wonderful event that really deserves to be advertised by word of mouth...they are keeping the costs low with v little advertising. I have been 3 times and loved every minute of it...there is worship and prayer and a Tea Tent for cream teas, amazing cutting edge performers, we are in a field so you can let rip with your worship if you feel so inclined:-) ...and just basically great fun to be had by all...families and groups, young and old....able and disabled...the Church!!
If you think it sounds a bit churchy there are local pubs if you want to chill out for a night with a glass of beer and Arundel is not far if you fancy something different...even a date! Brighton is just down the road.
I have booked the whole thing yesterday ( 28 January) for £ 43.50- that is 3 nights camping and the music festival. Camp site is basic but good..showers very luxurious ( New wine ..tis not!!) They even have aerobics in the morning. :-)
It's a great time for the Church to come together and I really hope you will come. You will not regret it. We can have a CC posse there.. perhaps camp near each other, come and go as you please, get to know a few new people..everyone is welcome. ;-)
