Dan and I met through Christian Connection last April and married in July. We are so happy and inspired that we met. God in His good timing brought us together. Christian Connection is a fantastic starting point for many single people hoping to meet other Christians so we thought it would be good to encourage others to take the opportunity to do the same.

We don't feel like we 'met online' as people often chuckle at, just that our initial contact was online but our first meeting was a real and wonderful evening spent in beautiful Bath, Somerset. It's amazing how well suited Dan and I are, something 6 weeks after getting married we are still in awe of how God can pair up a couple with such similar interests, qualities, sense of humours and hopes for the future.

Matt first emailed me just before Christmas. We met for the first time in the New Year and got engaged in June that year. I was living in Lancashire and Matt in Bristol. I moved down to Bristol in August and became part of his church.

We did a marriage prep course with a couple from church which helped us to strengthen our relationship. We got married in the following May. It was an amazing day with family and friends including two other couples (one married and one soon to be) who also met on Christian Connection. I had been on CC for a while as had Matt. We were both looking for someone relatively local, until Matt widened his search and found me! At first it involved a lot of long journeys to see each other, but they were well worth it!

By Easter 2009 we were engaged and our wedding plans we already underway.

Two weeks after subscribing to Christian Connection Diane and I "met". After a few daily telephone conversations I travelled to meet her, staying at a local hotel for a week, during which time we met every day and spent most of each day together. A few months later, we were married, I having sold my house and moved to be with Diane. Just half an hour after I paid for my subscription, I received an intriguing e-mail from Dewi. After some correspondence, we met face to face.

During a short break in North Wales, Dewi proposed. He bought my engagement ring in Poland where we had gone to drive steam trains (ah, the romance of greasy overalls and eau de coal dust...!)

After a whirlwind summer, we got married in November at my home church in Wolverhampton, with over 200 relatives and friends sharing our special day (we made a 7-layer cake - enough to last us until our first anniversary!)

We are now happily settled in our new home in Peterborough and have discovered two other couples who also met through CC. After each having spent 13 years on our own, we are discovering the joys of sharing the common and uncommon things of life.

We exchanged emails on CC in early October, we were engaged 6 weeks later and married in April - 6 months after we met! We fell pregnant, very happily, 10 weeks after we were married and now have a beautiful 9 month old daughter, born 4 days before our first wedding anniversary!

We were both looking for friendship to begin with. However(!), God had different ideas and after exchanging just 6 emails over a three day period, we were 'talking' marriage! (I have to say, I wouldn't recommend this haste to everyone, but it was right for us!) Two all-night MSN conversations later, we were arranging to meet! Mike brought Henry, his King Charles Cavalier, for moral support, and we had a wonderful evening together, the three of us!!! After 6 weeks of seeing each other every day - despite an hours distance between us - Mike proposed.

‘Three Little Maids from Bromham are we…’ (well, not exactly ‘maids’, but read on!)

It starts in a dentist’s waiting room. There I am, idly flicking through a Christian mag. when all of a sudden my eyes light on the CC ad. I’ve heard about the website before, but dismissed it as something for ‘sad’ people. However, it does look interesting… But no, I’m definitely not up for it. And anyway, I’m being summoned to have my broken tooth attended to.

Two weeks later… and I find myself in the same waiting room – same troublesome tooth – same Christian mag… same ad! But no, it’s for sad, lonely people and I don’t fall into that category. But… it looks like fun. And the waiting room is empty… So, I’ll just tear the page out quickly…

I’m a fast worker and meet the ‘man for me’ on day one. He doesn’t know this of course, (!) so I have to go through the charade of signing as a fully paid up member so as not to put him off.

It’s a fine romance and although it takes just over two and a half years, we finally marry. Weeks of unbroken sunshine lead up to the wedding day, only to break spectacularly moments before I leave home in my new Monsoon (HA!) outfit. I am the first bride ever to turn up sellotaped into a bin liner. (true!). Just time to rip it of before walking down the aisle to Handel’s ‘Water Music’ (HA! again…)

But this is not the most amazing part of the story. During our long courtship, news of the ‘CC’ story leaks out amongst the single females at my church. Lesley logs on and before I know it has pipped us to the post and announced her April wedding! Not far behind, we announce ours and set a July date. Then Jac jumps into the arena and plumps for January!! So, by the time you read this, our village church will have hosted THREE CC weddings within 10 months. Could this be a record?

We are all very happy – not to mention our other halves, Peter, Mark and Ian! So thank you, CC, for making all this possible. And thank you to our wonderful God who is able to do ‘immeasurably more than we can ask or
think’!

We're fast approaching our second wedding anniversary and we feel we're a bit overdue in thanking CC for our meeting in the first place!

We both joined for six months and enjoyed the site greatly. We'd each met a few other members, but neither of us had really chimed with anyone else. It was almost at the end of our memberships that we "met" via emails. After a few weeks we agreed to meet in person shortly before Christmas and it was clear from the outset that we were a good match - we were engaged the next May and married the following February!

We actually "met" via the discussion boards so, if you're a non-member reading this, we'd recommend that you take the plunge and get chatting. There are lots of interesting people on the site and we're sure they were all as nervous as you before they joined.

We had joined CC about 3 years ago. Having each corresponded with several others we finally "met up" online and liked what we read about each other from our profiles, emails and the discussion boards we used. After three months we met physically and liked each other and from there our friendship developed.

Usha lived in Bracknell, Berks, while Colin lived in Welwyn Garden City, Herts. We were married on 25th March. We are now happily living in a new house in Woolmer Green in Herts. We are both Lay Readers in the church of England and enjoying sharing our ministry and life our churches and community.

Nearly 2 years into our marriage we continue to be amazed, surprised and blessed by each other and by God!

Jonathan and I made contact both on a 10 trial membership at the start of October, we met 18 days later after over 50 hours on the phone!! We knew something special was happening. We got engaged New year and married in February. We are know living in Lincoln and enjoying God's answer to prayer in meeting each other! We are even trying for a baby to complete our family!

Tristan and Katie met on Christian connection in August (during Tristans free trial) got engaged February and married 25th March.

I really wasn't sure about Christian Connection when I first went on it. I had met a few nice guys but nothing which I had wanted to pursue. It was coming to the end of my 3 months membership and I had been on holiday with friends where I decided I didn't want to be on the website anymore and decided that I ws going to de-register myself, and leave the whole relationship thing up to GOD. I logged on supposedly for 1 last time, and had Tristans smiling face staring at me. I thought it would be rude not to reply to his email. Well the rest is history really, after 3 weeks he had booked a ticket to Central Asia for Christmas to come with me to visit my sister and her family, we were engaged only a few months after that.

We had a fantastic wedding and are now 2 months in to our marriage, and have been blessed in so many ways. Tristan feels he got a real bargain, having found me while on his 10 day free trial!!

It was a real 'God thing' as I don't think either of us thought we would meet someone and fall in love, but God really made it happen. I prayed only a few months before for a husband and we had both been given the same Bible verse. We have both been married before and i have children.

I was amazed to see how the relationship built from strength to strength between Neil and the children and also amazed at meeting someone so wonderful.

Distance doesn't have to be a problem for singles using the internet.

It is exactly a year since Leslie and I first met. Leslie lived in East Devon and I was 300 miles away in West Yorkshire. However, nothing daunted, we finally met on 20th September - in the very romantic setting of a Sainsbury's car park. To say we 'hit it off' would be putting it mildly!!

Two months later we were engaged to be married - Leslie is in his early 70s and I am getting on that way!! So, being pretty sure of each other, we didn't want to waste any time. When Leslie came along I knew it was God's solution for me - and the months since then have just reinforced this more and more for both of us. We are absolutely positive that God has facilitated our marriage - with the invaluable help of Christian Connection.

We were married by my pastor and lifelong friend on 2nd April - a very happy occasion for everyone present. We had 7 bridesmaids (our combined grand-daughters).

There is so much more that I could say. Our hearts are so full of thanks to our Lord for bringing us together. But we both want to thank you for being his tool.

Six months ago I spotted Tim's profile and decided to email him - even though only desperate people do that sort of thing!

Immediately I received his reply it became clear that we are very well suited, each of us try to keep God as the number one focus in our lives and we have the same hopes and dreams for the future.

Tim and I were married on 26 April in an amazing service which, I am told, left our non-Christian friends talking about how "different" it had been to any other wedding they had attended. God was so obviously present in every part of our day and it was easily the best day of my life, so far!

We have just celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary and are very, very happy.

Christian Connection, thank you for the way that you encourage members to share so deeply and in so many different ways before even meeting. This has enabled Tim and I to build strong foundations to our marriage and to continue talking about all sorts of things.

Chris and I met on the site in December, met face to face on 4th January the next year, and Chris asked me to marry him on our six month anniversary.

We married in June and are very much enjoying married life. God has blessed us incredibly and we are having such fun together, serving him as youth group leaders at our church, after both nearly giving up hope of ever finding someone to spend the rest of our lives with.

The other great news is that through your site three of my friends have also got married or are about to get married, so I want to thank you for the site not only for bringing such happiness to Chris and I, but to my friends as well! We were just an 'engagement' success story, but we are now married!! It was a beautiful day, everything we could have wished for, and we owe all our success at finding each other to Christian Connection (and of course God).

It was strange because both Wayne and I joined up at the same time, without knowing it, and both renewed our free membership because we 'knew' we liked each other. It took us 6mths to build up the courage to meet, but by then we already knew we were right for each other. We have now been together for over 2 years and it is still amazing!!! We are also expecting a new arrival in July that will make our happiness complete!!!

Good luck to everyone else out there searching for someone. You may not meet the 'right one' here, but you'll still make good friends!! I was really lucky and am so glad that I looked!

Andrew and I started corresponding through your site in October. We hit it off straight away and our emails progressed to phone calls and after 6 weeks we decided to meet.

This first meeting took place at Manchester airport. Due to the fact that I was from Northern Ireland and Andrew is from Bolton, we asked our Pastors to contact each other first of all just to make sure all was ok. We got on brilliantly and took it in turn to fly to see each other every fortnight.

We have 7 children between us (yes, you did read that correctly) and we introduced them to each other slowly. Andrew proposed when we were in the Lake District and we were married in Northern Ireland. A huge contingent of Andrew's english friends from Church and family made it over for the wedding and a brilliant day was had by all. My children and I moved to England and we are now one BIG, happy family.

The brilliant thing about Christian Connection is that Andrew and I were able to court each other by email from the comfort of our own homes whilst our children were snug in their beds - no babysitters required!

We believe that God brought us together and we want to thank you for being His willing instrument and for making us and many others very happy. Thank you also for your lovely wedding card and good wishes.

Tony and I first emailed in early December... and very very soon progressed to telephone conversations. We found ourselves having very long two or three hour conversations - so much to swap and share... then we met up... and became friends ever so slowly. I didn't think of him as at all 'my type', and had no romantic interest in him - but found myself valuing him more and more as a friend and confidante as time went on.

I was oblivious to his attentions and was certain we were both just being friendly and increasing our social circles. To be really honest, I was just enjoying his company and thinking he was practising his social skills, as I was - thinking maybe that we'd eventually perhaps introduce each other to one of our friends who might be Miss or Mr Right for each other.

Then one evening over dinner, I realised that I was looking at God's choice for me - it was like the road to Emmaus!!

I thought that I would like to take the time to give you an update on our Situation. My wife and I were married on December 28th. We met earlier in the year, through your website.

We had a fabulous wedding. We had friends and family from all over the place attending. We had the two ministers from our Church conducting the service. It was a really happy and spiritual time. Friends and family, Christian and not, all commented on the happy service. We enjoyed a dream come true honeymoon in Russia. We went to Moscow and St-Petersburg. It was very romantic and we took the time to attend a Christmas Eve service at a Russian Orthodox Church!

It is true that God works in mysterious ways. Some friends spoke words of caution to me when I told them how I was going on a first date with this nice woman I had met on the Internet. I listened to their words and took careful steps. 10 months later 11 months later we're married! Thank you for providing such a good way for Christian people to meet. For me, I wanted to find a partner. Thank you for providing a safe way to do this and a good way.

Having just seen the picture of little Callie Derbyshire it prompted me to write and tell you that we are now married.

When we got engaged back in November I wrote to tell you the wonderful news and on May 17th we finally did it! It was a wonderful day with much fun and laughter and really could not have been any more wonderful. We had a wonderful time on our honeymoon in the Lake District, particulary as we had spent so much time apart (Joe lived in Birmingham and myself in London) and are now living very happily in Birmingham.

I have some good news for all on CC. Richard108 has asked me to marry him, and I've said yes.

YES!!! (punches the air)...CC can work but, in order to walk on water, you have to trust the Lord and, get out of the boat.

Richard lives in the UK, and I live in Cork, Ireland. Neither of us could see how it could work but, we trusted in God to iron out all the wrinkles if He wanted us to be together, and He has.

He has provided me with new friends in Britain, some from CC, so I won't be too isolated or lonely.
He has arranged for me to 'speak' at various venues in Britain over the next few months, so I have to be over there.
And He has provided two churches to support us.

Of course, if we had said "I won't date outside a certain catchment area or, anyone divorced or, only from the same denomination, then we'd never have even met! We only met up for a friendly coffee and it all escalated from there.

My advice would be for each of us to look at our 'patterns' for what we want in a partner and see if we are limiting ourselves or God.

S/he may not be the 'ideal' height (Richard is) or the right weight (I'm not) or live just around the corner (neither of us do) but, pray and ask God what He wants for your lives, He will help you to overcome all obstacles if He wants you to be together.

He has for us...now we're just left with the fun things to do...like arrange a wedding and a blessing ceremony, one in Cork and the other in Britain...alleluia...thank you Lord!

We're getting MARRIED!!!

To all those who are looking for Mr Right or Mrs Right and faithfully waiting for God to do his work! Iain and I met when we went on one of the Christian Connections speed dating events. We had both been subscribers for a year or so before we individually decided to jump in the deep end and sign up for an event in Bristol. It was lovely to pray beforehand as a group. It was a lot of fun and for Iain and I, and a very sucessful event.

We met up afterwards and began to tentively date, its worth noting that i told anyone who would listen that after our first date after the speed dating event that i had met my husband to be! I told Iain after our second date, on the telephone, that he gave me butterflies in my tummy....he said that he didn't feel the same way BUT he might do in 3, 6 or even 12 months!!! Not detered I was patient with him and in a fact it only took him another 2 months to confess that he loved me. Ah!

True to form i took the lead (that'll be the story of our lives together) and told him in June last year that my answer was "YES!" Iain turned to me with a puzzled look and said "Um, yes to what?" I replied "Yes, i'll marry you" With a one very severely raised eyebrow he informed me "hmmm, well you'd better wait until you're asked!" Once again i waited patiently, enjoying our time together knowing that he would ask when he was ready.

While we were on holiday in June this year Iain handed me a package. Inside was a book, The Wedding Planner and inside he had written "Will you marry me?" Of course the answer was "YES!"

We're grinning from ear to ear and wanted you to know that God can and does make our dreams come true.

Thanks CC. I joined wanting to meet someone who I could fall in love with and hopefully spend the rest of my life with. Well this has now happened.

I met a lovely lady called Lisa. I had only been on the site for 4 weeks. She was gorgeous, funny and a great Christian to boot! We are now 10 months into our relationship and everything is going brilliantly, we have many plans for the future for ourselves and our children and in time we will get married as this is what we both want. Following our wonderful wedding in May (also featured on this site!), Naomi and I had one more burning 'earthly' desire which we had both wanted for years - to become parents.

After 10 months of marriage, Tim, one of the Pastors at our new church whom we had yet to meet, came over to us during an evening service and asked if he could pray for us. A few days later we did a test and Naomi was 4 weeks pregnant :)

I have attached a picture of our darling little boy Isaac, who arrived on 29th November last year (now 6 months old). He certainly lives up to his name as he is a cheerful little lad.

Happily married and the birth of a beautiful baby through Christian Connection.

We met through Christian Connection and after writing for a little while met in July. Laura, a bit underwhelmed by me at first
told her friends that if anything this relationship would be a 'slow burn'
fortunately for me she soon changed her mind and by October we were engaged. We married in March at All Souls Church, Langham Place in London.

On 8th March the family increased with the birth of Benjamin, who we think is the world's most gorgeous baby though we are prepared to accept we are a little biased.

We met on CC about 4 years ago, married a year later and now have two lovely children.
